We talk a lot about how WEO supports women entrepreneurs in business (after all, our very name is about entrepreneurship!), but today let's talk about how WEO can support us socially.

Our monthly meetings do have a networking component, but our attention is often focused on the program, rather than simply getting to know each other. And we want to get to know each other, because for most of us, WEO is about more than just business development, philanthropy and networking--it's about relationships.

WEO has three ways beyond our monthly meetings for you to get to know other members, and help them get to know you on a more personal basis.

1. WEO Women on the Side: Coffee Break

Most months, we schedule a casual coffee meeting at a local coffee shop for WEO members and guests to gather for an hour or so to talk and enjoy a cup of coffee in an informal environment. There is no special agenda, no leader, and no charge (other than the cost of your own cuppa)--just WEOs getting together to connect, share, and socialize.

Our coffee meetings typically happen in the first two weeks of the month, but days, dates and locations vary, so please see the calendar for the next one.

2. WEO Women on the Side: Happy Hour

Most months, we also schedule a casual meet up at a local restaurant or bar for WEO members to talk and enjoy a glass of wine, cocktail or soft drink in a fun environment. Again, there is no special agenda, no formal leader and no charge (other than the cost of your own tab). WEO members and guests are welcome at our Happy Hour meetings.

Our Happy Hour meetings typically happen in the last weeks of the month, but days, dates and locations vary, so please see the calendar for the next one.

3. WEO's Facebook Group

Our Facebook group is a great place to post business or personal news, special offers, requests and recommendations. We love to see photos of WEO get togethers posted by members! Check the group regularly and you'll get to know other members by seeing what they're up to, what they're celebrating, and how you can help them when they need a hand.

Much has been written on the tangible and intangible benefits of strong social relationships, so I won't go in to that here, but let me just say that from my own experience, getting to know other women entrepreneurs at WEO has made me happier, more successful, and more resilient. I feel that I can do anything with my WEO gals by my side, don't you?

Thank you for supporting women in business--we're here for YOU! #WEORocks!

Warmly,

Ronnie Noize

WEO President
