    Our keynote speaker is Jennifer Petersen, internationally recognized Tea Mentor, STI Certified Tea Specialist and Certified Etiquette and Protocol Consultant. In addition to being a new WEO member, Jennifer is a professional tea educator and business development consultant for the tea industry. 

    She's also a charming person, entertaining speaker, and a font of wisdom from which we will sip at the November meeting.

    Our keynote speaker is Michele Maupin (pictured above), who will show us how to power up the three power tools for personal safety, which she says are awareness, assertiveness and preparation. She's a black belt who founded the Empowered Program after an intimidating encounter in Portland Oregon, where she discovered the difference between knowing how to fight, and diffusing a situation before it becomes a problem.     The WEO President passes the torch! This meeting marks the final month of service for our current Board. We will hear final thoughts from our retiring president, then we will acknowledge and honor the members who have faithfully served WEO over the past 12 months as volunteers. Next month, we will welcome a new president and Board as we embark on the new WEO year.

    Winners will be honored! We will discover which of the wonderful ladies nominated for the 2017 WEO Spirit Award is the winner. Plus, the 2017 winner of the fourth annual Ann Mason President's Award will be revealed.

    Conscious Capitalism How Feminine Power Is Leading the Next Era of Business

    WEO's February Meeting Is All About the Next Era of Business!


    After partying hearty in January, we're back to business with an informative presentation from Kymm Nelsen on Conscious Capitalism: How Feminine Power Is Leading the Next Era of Business. Kymm says that "...business is transforming to include feminine leadership strengths that will soon make old leadership styles and business models obsolete. Some call it the triple bottom line. Others call it good business. Whatever you call it, women are leading the evolution to a saner, more sustainable approach to business."
